" Wanderer" was launched in 1927, the 6th or 7th "Toyship" built by Karl Rathfon in Tacoma, Washington.
She was designed by Philip Thearlein the Lake Union Dreamboat style.
Wanderer's hull is cedar carvel plank/oak/Honduras mahogany with fir deck beams. Her house is constructed of bright mahogany panels.
The little vessel was designed with a view to providing the average person a craft that combined seaworthiness with good accommodations.
Her crew is very welcoming.
Nothing was stinted in this boat in the was of making a strong, able vessel.
Mr Rathfon felt there should be a boat built to accommondate four persons
comfortably on a cruise and at the same time be within the reach of the aveage
